With the above search option, you can look for books on Google.

There isn't as much to be found there as in the Internet Archive (see link underneath), but do try looking for books on "steam" and "lathe" and "mechanical engineering"

If you want to download a pdf file, make sure the book is classed as "full view" These books are free of copyright, and are yours for the taking!

In the "text" section, you can download literally hundreds of books on our topic. You will need a DSL or cable connection, as a dial in would be way too slow.

Here you will find a MS Word document, containing a list of my technical books. It is not complete yet as only a fifth of my technical library is cataloged in my book database. I will update these files on a monthly basis.

Feel free to download and consult the list.

If you are going to buy any of these books, but have doubts as to their content, or relevance to the subject you need information on, send me a mail, and I will gladly answer all your questions on any of the books in the list.

Also, check further down the page! There might be some PDF file there, that is worth downloading. 

Needles to say, that those PDF's come for free, and books don't! 

 

 

Other  stuff: some of you are still on dial in, sad, but true as DSL or cable is not available everywhere, or it is just not economical.

In time, about 5 (five) Gigabyte of pdf files will be here for the download. 

Even with a DSL connection, that is a lot of downloading!

If there would be a need for these files, that would surpass the technical patience of some of you,let me know!

I could, send you a DVD with the whole library on it.

Please know, that this is not a commercial venture, and these DVD's would be send AT COST, as a favor to a fellow tool junkie/steam nut/engineer.

This list of PDF's is not meant to bug the living daylights out of our favorite book vendors. As a matter of fact, it believe it will, in the end, generate more trade for them. One would be much more inclined to spend good money on a reprint, if you have the chance to "have a browse" first.

It will, in some cases, prevent people from buying the wrong book, and that is only a good thing.

That money, can be spent on the right book!
