A small machine, but never the less, a handy one. Wouldn't be without
it. It has a table that tilts, and that makes it a surprisingly
versatile machine.
It will take pride of place it the wood work
shop, once it is finished. I could have bought a bigger one, but space
is a problem. I have one from the older series, compared to
the
picture, but the only thing that is different is the color.
Not so long ago, I located a cheap supply of
reserve saws for it, and I have stocked up, on a number of different
types.
As usual, these things cut wood, and non ferro
metals.
FZB-205/800N table saw
This
little devil, is a handy thing, it has again been bought with space in
mind, as one of this small size, can easily be set up inside the
workshop.
The one in the picture is a "Ferm", mine is a
Top
Craft, but those are one and the same brand. And since I managed to get
my hands on 6 new Metabo blades of all different denominations that fit
the machine, I am "ripping away..." These blades were sold, in a car
booth sale, the former owner having moved on to the big Workshop In The
Sky...
Parkside PDS 200 ME double bench Grinder
A
pretty standard machine, maybe a bit more solid then usual, 370 Watt
motor and 2 fairly useless stones, that will be replaced by
red ones
(softer ones) pretty soon.
Einhell LE OF 1400 E router+router table
In search of an easy solution, a far as a
router table goes, I came across this very nice deal some years ago.
The price of the router table, included an
Einhell 1400 router!
While still being cheaper then anything that
could serve as an alternative.
Pretty decent of those German chaps!
All
in all, it is quite a handy situation. I had a small router, that would
have fitted the table, I bought years before, and now I have two!
Luxury!
Instead of having to dismount the router from the table every time it
is needed freehand, I just use my old one. It is mounted on a sheet of
multiplex, 18 mm in thickness and forms a very sturdy proposition, that
can live under the workbench. If and when needed, a couple of dogs make
for a solid attachment to the workbench.
The old one is an 1100 Watt machine,
that usually does the trick.
Although the difference between it and the
Einhell 1400 Watt one is marked!
If a router needs to be purchased, I believe,
that one should go for the higher wattage any time.
Powerplus POW 856 table saw.
Big brother of the one 'two up'.
This
powerful machine has a cutting dept of 75 mm, and the blade can be
tilted sideways (max 45°). It is also possible to raise and
lower the
blade.
This together with the possibility to use a
wobble saw, or
two saws next to one another on the spindle makes for a handy machine,
that can be used for a variety of applications.
The detachable
table extensions are imperative if you need to cut standard type MDF
sheets (or anything else for that matter of similar size)
